Description

UPGRADINGOUR TR SERIES FIRMWARE QUICK SYTART GUIDE – TR-6000 IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS BETA UPGRADE Your radio must be running Build 3.6.7 or higher before applying Build 6.0.1. The latest version of TRUMP Version 1.0.9-fw-6.0.1 (Tranzeo’s Upgrade Program) will update your radios automatically up to the most current build. Starting with 5.0.2, we now recommend using TRUMP to upgrade instead of the HTTP interface, except for beta versions. TRUMP can be used in Routed or Bridged networks. You need to download and install the latest version of TRUMP in order to be able to upgrade to build 6.0.1 using TRUMP. Please refer to the next section for details on how to upgrade TRUMP. Observant users may ask “Why is the version bumped to 6.x?” At Tranzeo we increase the first revision level when we update the core software platform, or when we add new hardware platform support. This is a bump to 6.x as this firmware supports a new hardware variant. This variant is for OEM use, and as a result, for Tranzeo’s existing users, the bump would appear without a reason unless we included this note. Warning: Before applying any versions of firmware please read and understand this entire document. If you encounter problems with the new firmware you can seek help from the Support Team. You should only perform a firmware upgrade during support hours (8 am to 5 pm PST, Monday to Friday) in case you need emergency assistance. If you have any questions, please call or email us before starting the upgrade process. It is advised that network administrators document their configuration before proceeding with the update, and manually re-enter the information after the upgrade, if required. Important: Firmware may become unusable if inappropriately applied or the connection is broken during the upgrade. Ensure no interruptions during the upgrade. If the connection is broken or the power goes off during an upgrade, the unit may become inoperative! Page 1 of 9 19473 Fraser Way Pitt Meadows, B.C.
