I greatly appreciate this time with you, being able to fill-in so your resident priests can take their well deserved vacations. Now August is coming to an end and I must depart. In about two weeks, I will return to the area so that I can fill-in on weekends for Monsignor John Urell at St. Timothy Parish while he is on a walking pilgrimage through France and Spain. I will be at St. Timothy’s for about seven weeks. All of 2012 I am scheduled to fill in for a couple pastors in the Orange Diocese while they are on sabbaticals. God willing, I will be back with you next summer here at St. Edward. Until then, May God continue to do great things for you, in you and through you! Fr. Please call (949)496-1307 X 2207 and leave your name and telephone number for a call back. —————–————————– IMPORTANT PLEASE READ FOR YOUR INFORMATION Periodically, and more so of late, we have had gypsies, usually a mother with a small child, seeking money from our parishioners after the weekend Masses. While we have given them food from our Christian Service Outreach (to which they are indifferent), what they want are monetary donations. It is a ‘racket’ and they prey on parishioner’s good will. They have been circulating among parishes and other establishments seeking money. We ask that you do not respond to their solicitation for money so as not to encourage their return. It is important to say that we are not turning our backs to the poor; rather we do not wish to condone or encourage their manipulative and sometimes aggressive behavior which is a ‘racket’ for collecting money. —————–————————–—— MARRIED COUPLES PLEASE JOIN US THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST All married couples are invited to join us Thursday September 1st for an evening of “Living Catholic Marriage”’ a series of topics to help husbands and wives communicate better and grow stronger in their faith. By its nature, the love of husband and wife is so complete, so ordered to a lifetime of communion with God and each other, that it is open to creating a new human being who they will love and care for together.
