The melting temperature of lead-free solder is higher than that of leaded solder by 86°F to 104°F (30°C to 40°C). Use of a soldering iron designed for lead-based solders to repair product made with lead-free solder may result in damage to the component and or PCB being soldered. Great care should be made to ensure high-quality soldering when servicing this product especially when soldering large components, through-hole pins, and on PCBs as the level of heat required to melt lead-free solder is high. PREPARATION OF SERVICING The laser diode used for a pickup head may be destroyed with external static electricity. Moreover, even if it is operating normally after repair, when static electricity discharge is received at the time of repair, the life of the product may be shortened. Please perform the following measure against static electricity, be careful of destruction of a laser diode at the time of repair. • Place the unit on a workstation equipped to protect against static electricity, such as conductive mat. • Soldering iron with ground wire or ceramic type is used. • A worker needs to use a ground conductive wrist strap for body. A1-2 etc. [Note 1] In the condition that an explosion-proof cathoderay tube is set in this equipment. (Particularly the VERSION LETTER. AVOID AN ELECTRIC SHOCK There is a high voltage part inside. Take enough care to deal with it. Remove the antenna terminal on TV and turn on the TV. 5. The inside wiring is designed not to get closer to the pyrogenic parts and high voltage parts. it is dangerous to give a shock. AVOID AN X-RAY As for the places which need special attentions. Especially as to the important parts for safety which is indicated in the circuit diagram or the table of parts as a mark. And be sure the safety of that. If you have not the 500V insulation resistance meter. put these parts in the original positions. PERFORM A SAFETY CHECK AFTER SERVICING Confirm that the screws. and it emits an X-ray from the cathoderay tube. when removing it or serving from backward. 3. 2.
