But going to a singles bar is just a little desperate. However, if you couldn’t hit it off with someone before Valentine’s, then the singles bar, with its communal feeling of misery, might be the best place for you. It may also be a good place for a nookie. But honestly, that would just give you problems—such as trying to remember the person’s name the next day, and having to remember why you met in the first place. And don’t sound bitter when you say it. Say it with a little frustration—that sounds more genuine. The point is not to stress out and don’t let it get to you. So you missed out on one that had all the best promos for eating for two, but who cares, really?
