There are names shared by several standards bodies and in this case it is possible to provide exact material equivalents. Availability of Premium Database The new Premium Materials Database for fatigue properties is available exclusively to nCode CDS™ users in nCode 11. nCode Premium Materials Database NC-PR-DB Version 4 5 . but with detail compositional or microstructural differences.mxd in the mats folder. Such materials could be considered comparable but not equivalent. For others the material may share the same alloy family basis. This should ideally come from test coupons machined from an actual component. It is the recommendation of HBM nCode that if the closest fatigue estimation is required for design. This unprecedented collection of fatigue properties contains 95 materials. the database also includes a list of searchable equivalents. The high quality fatigue parameters include statistical estimates of scatter to enable reliability and certainty of survival to be assessed. and heat treatment condition (including strength) as used. The detail of the procedure and sources employed is provided in the manual accompanying the database. The comparison of standards from different international organisations is complex. plus some other non-ferrous materials. Each analysis job referencing the database will draw an additional 150 CDS units. mostly commonly used types of steel and aluminium.
