DICANG, PUNONG BARANGAY OF LOWER QUIRINO HILL FOR THE INCLUSION IN THE BARANGAY ANNUAL BUDGET AN ALLOCATION OF ONE PERCENT (1%) FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCATION OF LOWER QUIRINO HILL BARANGAY. WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 9257, otherwise known as “ An Act Granting Additional Benefit and Privileges to Senior Citizens” was signed into law on February 26, 2004, thereby amending for the purpose RA 7432, “An Act to Maximize the contribution of Senior Citizens to Nation Building,” explicitly defines the benefits and special privileges and other purposes a senior citizen can avail of; WHEREAS, Joint Circular Numbered 2003-01 of the Department of Budget and Management and the Department of Social Welfare and development provides for the Implementing Guidelines for Section 29 of the General Appropriations Act for the Fiscal Year 2003 entitled “Setting Aside One Percent of Government Agency Budget for Programs/Projects to Senior Citizens and the Disabled.”; WHEREAS, the Baguio City Council, cognizant with the rules of the Senior Citizens in nation building and community development as well has enacted Resolution Numbered 291, Series of 2008, “Recommending that Barangays Appropriate One Percent of their Annual Budget for the Senior Citizens,”; WHEREAS, the granting of one percent share for the Senior Citizens by the barangay will surely improve, promote, and enhance the welfare of the Senior Citizens, and will provide them with the needed assistance and support in the implementation of the projects and programs they wish to address; NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly presented and seconded by all, be it; RESOLVED, as it is hereby Resolved, to request the Hon. Van Oliver M. Dicang, Punong Barangay for the inclusion in the Barangay Annual Budget an allocation of one percent (1%) for the Senior Citizens Assocation. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the Punong Barangay and Sangguniang Barangay of Lower Quirino Hill for their information and appropriate action and to the Office of the Senior Citizen’s Affairs for their information. DICANG, PUNONG BARANGAY OF LOWER QUIRINO HILL FOR THE RELEASE OF ONE PERCENT (1%) ALLOCATION IN THE 2014 ANNUAL BARANGAY BUDGET FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCATION OF LOWER QUIRINO HILL BARANGAY FOR THE YEAR 2014. WHEREAS, the Baguio City Council has enacted Resolution Numbered 291, Series of 2008, “Recommending that Barangays Appropriate One Percent of their Annual Budget for the Senior Citizens; WHEREAS,the Sangguniang Barangay, in cognizance with the roles of the Senior Citizens in the community had considered the aforementioned resolution and allocated in the Barangay Annual Budget the one percent share for their senior citizens in the amount of Fourteen Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Eight Pesos (Php 14,888.00); WHEREAS,it is the desire of the Association that their one percent allocation be utilized to address their priority concerns, projects and activities as well; WHEREAS, the hereunder projects/programs/activities are identified PPAs and their corresponding funding/cost; Projects/ Programs/Activities Funding / Cost 1.
