The Organization of Student Services Educators Services, Inc. (OSSEI) is going to conduct the OSSEI National Training Workshop on Campus Journalism on September 17-19, 2015 at Crown Legacy Hotel, Kisad Road, Baguio City. In line with this event, The Mentor, the official student publication of Bicol University College of Education, decided to be part of this training workshop. The said annual training workshop aims to enrich the way of writing of campus journalists, and train them to be able to face the numerous challenges of campus writing. In addition to the usual journalism topics covered, the national training workshop will also discuss the topic, “How to Evaluate Campus Papers” which is one of the vital recommendations from AACCUP that BUCE needs to comply with in order to finally achieve the aspired Level 4 accreditation status. Given this intensive and very informative training workshop, The Mentor is looking forward to send four campus journalists. These four students are parallel to the six categories needed in the event. They are as follows: Jason O. Salvadora for News Writing, Nikkitita M. Magdaong for Editorial Writing and Feature Writing, Clarence Bonaobra for Photojournalism and Hyacinth Mae Capino for Editorial Cartooning and Page Design and Layout.
