SINDA’s Key Programmes Presentation Networking Session between SHGs and Schools4 March 2011 Thank You… SINDA was able to partner some 90 schools in 2010 for our key programmes for students. This partnership continues for most in 2011. We would like to put on record our sincere gratitude to these schools for aiding us in our initiatives. We are also grateful for the 204 SINDA Liaison Officers, who are appointed by schools to act as SINDA’s conduits in schools Background Formed in August 1991 to address the pressing educational and socio-economic issues facing the community P Vision To build a strong and vibrant Singaporean Indian community together . in contributing to the progress of multi-racial Singapore Key Strategic Thrusts • Maximising Educational Opportunities for All • Nurturing More Enlightened Families • Strengthening Partnerships.Mission To build a well-educated. resilient and confident community of Indians that stands together with the other communities. Key School-Based Programmes  STEP  Project Teach  Project Victory & Senior Victory  Project GuidE . In 2011  21 tuition centres  Reaches out to 3500 students  Two Semesters (January to May) and (July to October)  Weekdays from 7pm to 9pm  Flexible choice of subjects . 314 tutors. Mathematics. others are experienced. and 35 Centre Administrators MOE Trained teachers (65%).
