Its policies and administrative procedures. The study provides a chance to understand how theory is applied in practice by interactions with various departments in organization. Thus the corporate knowledge and strategies will become familiar. 6 LIMITATIONS Since the study is conducted at HLL, PEROORKADA, it lacks the information regarding the functioning of the department. The conclusion and interference are drawn on the basis of data received from personal interviews and it may not be accurate. No set of rules have been followed in collecting the information. Sampling is not possible in this study. Financial statements are generally based on historical or original cost. The current economic conditions are generally ignored. REASON FOR THE SELECTION OF HLL HLL is one of the main industries of producing health care products in India since 1966 under the ministry of health and family welfare government of India. It is a well established organization which has many branches in different states in India. They got several recognition over years. 6 1.2 INDUSTRY PROFILE Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL) is a Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprises under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. Hindustan Latex’s (HLL) commenced its joinery to serve the Nation in the area of Health Care, on March 1, 1966, with its incorporation as a corporate entity under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India. HLL was set up in the natural rubber rich state of Kerala, for the production of male contraceptive sheaths for the National Family Planning Programme. The company commenced its commercial operations on April 5, 1969 at Peroorkada in Trivandrum. The Plant was established in technical collaboration with M/s Okamoto Industries Inc. Japan.
