Company profileAbout Us The Karnataka Vidyuth Karkhane Limited , a fully owned Government of Karnataka undertaking, is the successor to the Government Electric Factory, the first ever manufacturer of electrical transformers in the country , established way back in 1933 by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore. Today, after six decades of successful operations, KAVIKA has emerged as a renowned name for Distribution Transformers in the range of 25 KVA to 500 KVA up to 11 kV Class as well as for custom built / special type transformers as per specific requirements Karnataka vidyuth karkhane limited is a successor to the erstwhile government Electric factory, which was established in the year 1933, the oldest transformer industry in the country and fully owned by the government of Karnataka. In the year 1976, when there was industrial boom in the country and also in Karnataka, to give independent administrative set up to facilitate up gradation of manufacturing activities by adopting latest technology, the company, KAVIKA was formed. The company entered into technical collaboration with world renowned M/s. Westinghouse Electric Corporation, USA, to upgrade the transformer technology and to manufacture completely self protected (CSP) transformer. Our engineers were trained in this corporation to adopt their technical know-how in the manufacture of transformers. The company is manufacturing Distribution & power transformer ranging from 15 KVA to 1600 KVA, 22 KV class. Presently, the company is manufacturing transformers ranging from 25 KVA to 500 KVA, which are in demand. The company is in the line of manufacture of distribution & power transformers since more than six decade. It is having qualified engineers, supervisors, technicians and various other supporting staff/employees who have put in number of year of services and capable of manufacturing good quality transformers.
