Isolated Phase BusGenerator Leads with current ratings from 6 kA up F toor Main 50 kA, Isolated Phase Bus is the solution. Isolated Phase Bus systems are used exclusively for Main Generator Leads where minimal external electro-magnetic fields and maximum phase to phase fault protection is required. TECHNIBUS™ offers a complete line of Isolated Phase Bus systems for those situations calling for high currents with maximum integrity. TECHNIBUS™ can provide continuous current ratings from 1,200A up to 50,000A with short circuit ratings up to 900,000A. Conductor (A) he conductor consists of high conductivity, conductor T grade aluminum. Depending upon the diameter required, extruded tubes or tubes rolled of plate metal are used. The tube’s shape permits exact calculation of current displacement and heat dissipation as well as the short circuit forces. Aluminum expansion elements with welded connections allow for thermal expansion of the conductor. Maintenance is not required. Enclosure (B) nclosures are also made of high conductivity, conductor grade aluminum. The enclosures are E manufactured from rolled sheet or plate of variable diameters and wall thicknesses and are welded together by using the inert-gas-shielded-arc process. The enclosure is self-supporting up to a length of approximately 65 feet, allowing a free choice of the fixed points. Expansion joints in the form of aluminum bellows provided at the terminations permit thermal expansion. Post Insulators (C) resin post insulators support the conductor and are arranged in the enclosure so as to ensure the Cast proper clearance in air between the conductor and earthed enclosure. A sliding surface provided at the post insulator head permits relative movements between enclosure and conductor in an axial direction. One insulator of each support system is equipped with an adjustable spring-type element for compensating any variance in tube diameters during mounting as well as any conductor movements caused by a short-circuit.
