Grace to You :: Unleashing God's Truth, One Verse at a TimeHistory in the New World Scripture: Genesis 10:1-32 Code: 90-266 Well, you can open your Bible to the tenth chapter of Genesis and tonight you're gonna find out whether you would like Seminary. Genealogies are very popular today. Now you can find a number of websites on the Internet where you can trace your genealogy, the most notable source of genealogical information of course is the Mormon church, but people seem to be compelled to find their origin. From the adopted child who wants to find birth parents, to those who would like to go back into their family tree and find out what their heritage really is. It seems to be somehow important as a contribution to the chase for self esteem, and this need for people to feel good about themselves. And they can feel good bout themselves boosting up their psychological self esteem if they can find that they come from some important family, or there is somebody in the background who himself or herself was important. This whole genealogical effort could lead to a new genre of bumper stickers, I think, like "My Forefathers were Philistines'. Or like "Goliath was in my Family", or "I Come from a Long Line of Hittite Kings", or here's a good one, "My Ancestors Killed Your Ancestors". Well, one thing is for sure in your heritage file. You descended from the family of Noah. And so you can say, "My family survived the great flood". Because back in the ninth Genesis 9:18, 19, it says the sons of Noah came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth, and in verse 19, "...These three were the sons of Noah and from these the whole earth was populated". Noah is in your family tree through one of these three sons. We can even do better than Noah, because Scripture indicates for us these three sons, and then in Genesis 10 and 11, we have lines of descent from these three sons. In Chapter 10:2, the sons of Japheth, and it goes on, verse 6, the sons of Ham, and it goes on to list them, and then in verse 21 also to Shem, and it goes on to list them. Now what is this chapter? It is what's called the Table of Nations, or the Family of Nations. It traces the descent of man through the three sons of Noah. And there is more of this genealogical tracking found in chapter 11, which we will consider in the future. But it only considers the issue of the children of Shem, because they are the dominant people in the story of redemption in Scripture. But for this chapter, we follow the line of human history through the three sons of Noah. Human history kind of goes like this genealogically: Adam to Seth to Enoch to Methuselah, to Lamech, to At the outset. and from him. in chapter 12. Because it was from Shem that Abraham came. and to get there. talks about Ham. And so between Noah and Abraham. all claim Noah as a distant relative. So when we get to Abraham. We really get into the singular importance of Abraham. is an important thing. Noah. promises. the law. For example. Adam. That is Noah's line: Adam. It is not by any means exhaustive. you get down to Noah. we have this genealogical record which includes sons of Japheth. gives something of their history. and that clears the path to get to Shem. the Scriptures. not every family is named. and most importantly. sons of Ham. Authored by Moses who wrote the Five Books of the Law. though. I want you to know that the listings of the sons of Japheth and the sons of Ham and then the sons of Seth are designed to move toward the people of God. the people of God and the line of redemption. It's as if the Lord talks about Japheth. obviously a critically important person. Methuselah. Seth. indicates that it is a legitimate record written by . from Abraham comes the great King David. Five of them are not.Noah. the Hebrews. as I said. then. Enoch. and inspired by God. But we have to get to Abraham to start with. God's missionary nation. And Abraham is introduced in the twelfth chapter. This is the only accurate source of this period. Methuselah. but most particularly and specifically. From Abraham comes the people of God. This selectivity. the next significant person is Abraham. but only two of them are followed as to their sons. we are then focused in on the line of redemptive history. and to David. Lamech. through whom God sent the Messiah. Lamech. to whom God gave covenants. The survey is selective. So here you have with Noah and his three sons the second starting point for human history. So if you wanna trace your line back from Noah: Noah. we have to work our way through this interesting genealogy of the sons of Noah. adoption. there are sons named of Japheth in verse 2. it rather. the people of Israel. on the other hand. The next crucial man on the genealogical charts in redemptive history is Abraham. It doesn't in any sense indicate that this is not a legitimate genealogy. This is history in the new world and we can. Enoch. In six names. Noah. the Lord's purpose for Abraham. The whole human race. and the Savior of the world. his name appears at the end of chapter 11 in the genealogies. Not everybody is named here. the ministry. This is the only existing written record. I think. the Conqueror and Destroyer of Satan. leaving only Noah. sons of Shem because Abraham comes from the line of Shem. And from Abraham comes the Jewish race. follows that same line because all of humanity was destroyed in the flood. That's why Shem is the last one listed here. from Abraham comes the Messiah who fulfils all the promises made to Abraham. So the genealogies are selective. From Abraham came the Jews. not every person. Seth. Remember the first time Genesis was read. It is another genealogy or generation is the word. "This is the toladoth . this was what God commissioned. "This is the generation". and these are the people of whom Moses knew. then. and on the way to taking the Land of Canaan which had been promised to Abraham. "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth'". we that live in Los Angeles are often called Angelinos. And these were people who were known to the Children of Israel a the time they were entering the Promised Land. Ham and Japheth. And the design here is to show how they were scattered into the world from that starting point in the Middle East.70 to be exact .Moses. and to establish the flow of history to Abraham. then the next major person Noah. There are enough listed here . It is true to the knowledge of Moses. this was what God pledged and this is what God commanded. That's a familiar device used throughout the Book of Genesis back in chapter 2:4. these are the records or literally in Hebrew. tribes. "God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them. of course. Chapter 6:9. and from Abraham later on. they heard the Book of Genesis. . It is another one of those things that the Hebrew calls a Toladoth. to the Messiah. Something of the authenticity of the passage. Ham and Japheth." or the generation "of Adam". nations and even cities which were associated with people. and there will be more to come as the book is broken up into those patterns of records of generations. Ham and Japheth".70 persons. This was what God said. the toladoth. Look at chapter 10:1. a listing that is individual people. Now we come into chapter 10. Ham and Japheth. So Genesis is largely broken down by generations of people. tribes. the heaven and earth being generated. The listing is also witness to the fact that in chapter 9:1. So the fact that it is a selective genealogy doesn't speak against its authenticity. then Shem. first of all. to make this a fairly comprehensive early history. then Adam. rather. So that even here today. And so what we have here is a listing of people. It was fulfilled. "of Shem. "This is the record of the heavens and the earth". speaks to its authenticity these were known to Moses as he wrote under divine inspiration. that's the first one that is a toladoth or a record. these are the Toladothof Shem. after Moses had written it. This is the genealogy of Shem. is indicated by its selectivity. And the ones that are named here would have been in many cases familiar to them. "This is the generation of Noah". which is still the theatre of redemptive history and will be until the very end. So you have these various families of people. and this indicates that this was fulfilled. They were familiar with something of the genealogy of the people and the history of the peoples of that time. and families and nations are listed altogether. Chapter 5:1. as when the Children of Israel about 600 or so years after this were on the edge of going into take the Land of Canaan. So the story is a story of sadness. I wanna also note for you that the listing in this section is just inherently sad. very soon. but for the most part. And he demonstrates for us in a specific illustration that humanity is sinking again into rebellion and sin and rejection of God. and I'll say more about that. And we'll learn a lot more about Babel when we get to chapter 11. They have abandoned the true and living God. His name was Nimrod. and God calls Abraham and says out of you I'm going to bring a great people. the son of Cush was Nimrod. into idolatry". And what you see here is the hopelessness of humanity. And the genealogies are really the record of the Romans 1. He is a specific illustration of where humanity is going. is this man Nimrod. all of humanity and everything that breathed still seemingly had no effect. that there was one true God. A witness to a world of polytheists and polydemonists and animists. And what you see here is this relentless wickedness of man. And it was Israel that God called into existence to be that witness nation. He is a specific individual illustration of the deterioration of man very soon. The warning of the flood which drown the entire world didn't seem to have any effect on anybody. That was God's purpose for Israel. People and nations hopelessly scattered all over the earth. Here and there in ancient times there pops up a Job or a Melchezedic. they're all idolatress. would have heard stories about the flood. the father of Nimrod. So it's had 600 years of decline. the great grandson of Noah. away from each other and away from God. We do have a specific indication in verses 8 to 12 about a rebel against God who built the city of Babel. "Man knowing God and glorifying him not as God and not being thankful. it's inherently tragic.Now. human history was one sad repeat of the original decline of man. apart from the Melchezedics and the Jobs. they would have had firsthand testimony that he would have given to his children and his grandchildren about the tremendous flood. moving away from God. and this people I am going to give My Law and My Covenants and My promises and my blessings. perhaps from his own grandfather who survived it. Cush. verses 8 to 12. Finally. Dropped right in the middle of the chapter. He's the only individual person about whom much is said. both in the specific illustration and the fact that as you follow these lines. this is Noah's grandson who leads a worldwide rebellion against the true. . and they're going to be a witness nation to the world. living God who is Creator and Judge. a priest of the true God. Noah lived for 350 years after the flood. a man who believed in and loved and served the true God as Job did. God establishes a witness nation. The son of Ham was Cush. and you wind up with all these people and tribes and nations. in spite of what he can have as firsthand information about the fact that God judged the entire world and drown the whole earth. who built Babel. So those statements bracket what is in between. who were hearing this read for the first time as they were about to enter the Promised Land. Versus 1 and 32 basically make the same statement. verse 32 says essentially the same thing. Each of these three sections has three categories. to take to the world. we need to go back to versus 25 to 27 where I broke off last week. Shem. and his son Ham had come in and mocked his nakedness in some way and then gossiped about it to his brothers. I don't wanna do it more than once. So here we are at the dawn of world history. it tends to be a blur. this decline. and a summary is given at the end. There are three sons. a summary is given concerning these offspring. He gave them His Law. Japheth. out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood. But as we study the tenth chapter. another appears in verse 31. he also said. he woke up. one appears in verse 20. Remember Acts 17:26. followed by the sons of Shem. in order to jump into this with a little bit of velocity. his descendents are listed. Instead of judgment. the descendents of the son are listed. He sent a people as a witness nation. starting in verse 25. and so there are three sections. We need to finish it tonight. And we're going to see these nations in relationship to Israel. and thirdly. it becomes apparent to us that life in the new world was just the same as life in the old world. and His promises. number two. As I said this morning. then followed by the sons of Ham. His Covenants. The only time we have any recorded words of Noah in all of the Bible they are these. And so this genealogy shows this drift. and God said that He wouldn't do that again. he said. And I'm going to try to do this as rapidly as I can. "Cursed be Canaan. Now. so let me help you sort things out. Verse 1 says these are the generations of Shem. and how these nations spread around and oriented themselves around Israel by divine providence. the son is listed. these are the families of the sons of Noah. remember. a servant of servants he shall be to his brothers". according to their genealogies by their nations. may God enlarge Japheth and let him dwell in the tents of Shem and let Canaan be his servant". Now when you look at a genealogical record like this. Ham and Japheth. There are the sons open source Japheth. First. Ham. one appears in verse 5. and their location. and so when Noah woke up he knew what his son had done to him. . secondly. from his drunken stupor in which he had made himself naked. the sons of Noah. Man was no better. Why didn't God drown them? Because this was the age of grace. "Blessed be the Lord the God of Shem and let Canaan be his servant. It's pretty easy to break down. the Scripture. So in each of the three sections the son is listed. God determines the times of the nations. And that's how the flow goes. but God decided to be patient and gracious for His own sovereign purposes. It's a one-verse summary. that is the creation affects mankind. why doesn't he curse Ham. Canaan is cursed and winds up being a servant to both Shem and Japheth. Shem is blessed and specific injury served by Canaan. has a peaceful partnership with Shem. and Japheth is blessed by enlargement. because the first three believed what their father believed. Read carefully versus 14 to 17. the curse on the ground. They came under the curse. God doesn't curse those who belong to him. but curses as such are reserved for unbelievers. Now ultimately. Ham believed in the true God and his faith had been accounted to him for righteousness. back in chapter 9:1. Japheth is enlarged. the Semites. And we'll see in a moment that that in fact did come to pass. he was there for justified by God. that's why he survived the flood. we talk about the curse in Genesis 3. and we talked briefly about that. and peace with Shem. you can't curse someone who is God's. all nations in the world. And so the curse falls on Canaan. didn't contribute to his modesty. the polarizations. go back in your mind to Genesis 3. but there's more to it than that. nor curse Eve. conquer the Canaanites and take over the Promised Land. but God did not actually curse Adam. And then the blessing comes in verse 26. To give you a footnote on this. listed in chapter 10:6 Cush. why was Ham not cursed? We asked that question last time. they are pronounced upon the sons and there's an interrelation of the sons. come from Japheth or Ham. . God actually cursed the serpent. Let me just make a couple of comments so you will understand this. God actually cursed the ground. that comes to fulfillment when the children of Shem. and Canaan is his servant. but rather. Ham was true believer. that includes Ham. and God perhaps had to move all the way to that last son to attach an appropriate punishment to that family. That's the ultimate. why is Ham not cursed? Answer. who is the son of Ham. Canaan certainly was an unfaithful and ungodly son. under the dominant rulership of others. relished in his father's indiscretion. and not a worshipper of the true God. Phut and Canaan. obviously he could curse the serpent. the Jewish people. or Shem. he was a believer. I think that unbelievers are the ones that are cursed. and thus he could be cursed. ultimate end of this oracle or this prophesy when the Jewish people take over the land of Canaan. The curse on Satan affects mankind. Canaan was cursed because he was an unbeliever. and is served by Canaan who is a descendent of Ham. that he would wind up enslaved. and so Ham having been blessed by God cannot be among the cursed. and I believe the reason out of the four sons that could have been cursed. "God blessed Noah and his sons". children of Ham through Canaan would be servants to the descendants of Japheth and Shem. Ham is the one who went out and told his brothers about it and didn't cover his father. Mizraim. The others. Shem is blessed and Canaan is his servant. And the curse is that he would be a servant of servants. And here we find that in God's purposes. Ham is the one who saw his nakedness. So here are curses and blessings. Dr. and take over that land. they would eventually occupy the most precious piece of real estate on the planet. And I wanna tell you that I'm indebted to a number of writers who have done the tedious work in sorting out all this. And so we have the account here. Meshech and Tiras. and took the Promised Land. however. to my understanding of this. as well as some other. came back from Egypt. doesn't fully explain. Ham and Canaan. Eduardo Pracudo. it is that they followed the evil of their fathers and thus in the providences of God. imposed servitude on the Canaanite cities of Judah. the Hebrew commentator. King of Guine.if we follow the genealogy from Noah down to Abraham. Let's take the second part first. into . Japheth was promised expansion. This happened. would conquer them. The plan of God. and that Canaan would be his servant. until the descendents of Shem. okay? the sons of Japheth were Gomer. Magog. Genesis 14 talks about a king by the name of Tidal. are doomed to perpetual slavery because they followed the moral turpitude of their ancestors. And then of course after Abraham there were several hundreds of years until the Children of Israel actually formed as a nation. through Abraham. And as I said later on sons of Shem conquered the Canaanites when the Jewish people took the land. the Canaanites would occupy the land that we call Israel. went to Egypt. It isn't that God punished them by making them evil. as had been promised to them. Madai. if we take the genealogy at face value. Ham's ungodly son. were to be cursed and the land taken from them and given to the people of Israel.the land pledged to Abraham in Genesis 15. As we come into chapter 10. we come first of all to Japheth. from these the kosh lands of the nations were separated into the lands. Tarshish. and the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz. according to their families. how Canaan becomes the servant of Japheth. Have you ever heard of that? Jewish people call gentiles Guine. Henry Morris. So it is true. kill many of them. did a lot of work on this family of nations section of Scripture. the sons of Javan were Elishah. Now all this is background to chapter 10. Noah lived almost to Abraham's life. produced families and nations. Tubal. If there are no gaps. The Canaanites. both in chapter 10 and particularly in chapter 11 where the actual genealogy is given down to Abraham . Canaan did become the servant of Japheth. the Kittim and the Rodanim. who has written extensively on the Book of Genesis and my friend Jim Boyce who's now with the Lord. Let's start with Japheth's line. Javan. It means nations. providential design. Riphath and Togarmah. Now let's look at the final statement in verse 27 of this blessing . peoples.God enlarge Japheth. We'll see that in a moment. In God's sovereign. That explains how Canaan becomes a servant of Shem. descendents of Japheth under this King of Guine. then. everyone according to his language. Almost to Abrahams life. then. was that when the wicked children of Canaan. and all of them have contributed. what we know as the Promised Land . Now all of this.established their descent from a common ancestor. You will notice that if you have a McArthur Study Bible.. And one of the earliest languages that is at the base of both eastern and western languages is a language that has been extinct for a long time. Persia that's east. Japheth listed first. In the 19thcentury. and they say spoken in the late stone age. Have you ever heard of that? Sanskrit. go to India to study Sanskrit. "They say this language sourced probably in eastern Europe. ". even in modern times." this is quoting from the dictionary "." We can delete that. The Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary states that the Indo-European languages ". Rome". the summary of these people were separated into lands and languages and families and nations. But if you're a little bit hard-pressed to trust me. From Europe across the north section of Israel. You also will find the same map in color in the back section of the maps at the back of the Bible. Greece. where they are found at the beginning of history. then the mention of the descendents. Japheth is the father of what we call Indo-European nations. and east. Comprising the chief languages of Europe. The parent speech was highly inflected by historically the general tendency of the Indo-European languages.. and won't be described until the first part of chapter 11." in a table accompanying this rather extended definition in the dictionary. Greece. north from let's say Israel. "And the western borders of Europe. called also Indo-Germanic or Arian languages .. Rome.are the most important linguistic family of the globe. they made that connection. He is the father of the Indo-European nations. yet here it is in Genesis. sweeping toward India. it's called Sanskrit. you turn the page there's a map of where these various people are located. And what that means is that it's way back early on.their nations. by a people or group of people of unknown. and then in verse 5. Persia. And so it wasn't in the 19thcentury that we discovered that there is a common source of languages that stretch from Europe all the way toward India. Japheth's descendents go west. that's west. perhaps mixed race . assumes the scattering of the Tower of Babel. The dictionary says.the eastern languages involving the languages of . and west and stretch all the way to the east. It was in the 19thcentury that it became clear that the languages of the East and the West were related. the source of many of these languages. let me help you. people didn't make a connection between the languages of the East and languages of the West. because it is the closest language to this entire range of languages. This relationship of East and West of a common language.the prehistoric dialects of the primitive Indo-Europeans accompany their migrations into India. Now. together with the Indo-Iranian and other Asiatic tongues. In the 19th century comparative and historical study of these languages. has been toward the analytical types such as French or English. Requiring a common language ancestor for centuries. India. of course. Linguistic students.. unsuspected until some of the technical work of the 19thcentury. Let me quote Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary. this family of languages is divided into two types. So here are the descendents of Japheth listed. Persia. One little illustration. We wanna mention them because they were also people in the north. Almost all interpreters in history would say it's to the north. although the consonants are switched. in Britain called Celts. and the western division of the languages. Now let's look at the text itself. Magog is symbolic of the end time confederacy that comes to fight against the Messiah in the last days. we meet Gomer. settling in France called Gall. Switzerland. Russia. around the Caspian Sea. who went to the north and a little bit east. Remember the Jews always feared the Assyrians coming down? The Assyrians were in the north. Scandinavia. And you will read about him in the writings of Aristophanes. according to ancient writers. And that's where they originally settled. the Netherlands. and then migrating to the west. Cornwall. Six other sons are mentioned. they trace their heritage back to a Chapitas. Italy. Poland. and even beyond it. And so go west you find Japheth. Pretty easy to traced these people. Some associate them with Mongols and the Huns. who went east as well. Then there are a couple of other sons named Tubal and Meshech. Some connect the three consonants in linguistics with Cumberland Umbria which is Ireland. information from historians Heratapus. Romania. Armenia. and we have found some - .you've heard the word Crymia. Lithuania and Latvia. a familiar name around the Caspian and the Black Sea. We have found Assyrian monuments. Belgian. even in Whales called Kinre. Greeks trace themselves back. Yugoslavia. parts of Germany. others say they were the people of Gogh. Scotland. a form of Japheth. in Spain called Galacia. and so forth. I don't wanna beg the issue.India. All of those are very issues of the three consonants in Gomer. and languages into India are all coming from the same source. The Webster's Dictionary understands that languages of Europe.. Strabo and Plutak indicate that Gomer's people settled north of the Black Sea in an area called Kinera or Crymia . the Ukraine. trace themselves back to a flood account with a man named Yapetehas their father. Yapathas. Ireland. We could refer to those who became known as Cyphians. And I can give you lots of evidence. That's the dictionary. The Assyrians were the people to the north. Later they expanded into Europe. Britney. parts of Germany. Magog is mentioned. the Balkans. Afghanistan. Portugal. East Prussia. People in the east. But all of that is in Europe to the north. Josephus identifies Magog as the place where the people of Gogh lived. and England". hard to identify. Bulgaria. in India. Czechoslovakia. Yapeteh. Verse 2. Japheth. Spain. but it's hard to know where Magog is. languages of Greece. This is a people in the north. You find Magog in Ezekiel 35 as well. France. Sons of Japheth called Gomer went north in the Black Sea area. And there may be some connection to Germany as well. Iran. Whales. That's the region of southern Russia. go east you find Japheth. Towns. The third son mentioned in verse 2.have you ever heard this term . The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz and Riphath. also. when we think of Greeks. Javan. and the Tobal river and the city of Tobalsk. So the Ashkenaz family went north into the Lake Ashkenazi area. the GMR consonants. Some of you who are Jewish have heard that phrase. "We think they belong to various families. Ashkenaz. And several other cities in the Russian area have that derivative name. Father of various Greek peoples. They later moved to Germany. as . The Indo part .I know you're wondering how we're going to get through all this . peoples. the Dorians. later lived in India and were part of an empire called the Meado-persian empire. Ripath. And we find that words like these words. Targum. the Helens. and that title. Look at Madai. They are associated. the ancestors Now.moving. Meads. we meet some of the sons of Gomer. and the people of that area are called in its ancient writings as Homer the Askani. the Akkians. or Mushku. the ancient Meads who lived in Persia. It's a familiar identification of Armenian descent. the Ionians. They later moved to Germany so that Jews identified their people. and we don't know exactly how they got mixed into the races after that. In fact. writes Jim Boyce. As I said. in the city of Moscow. Terms like Turkey. Ashkenaz went north to settle.when I say we I mean those who study history . the house of Targum. but still bear similarity to those names.have found some monuments among the Assyrian ruins identifying a people called Mushki.but all agree. Now we move from the west to the east. very interesting. Direct ancestor of Armenians. and still have that name identified with Jewish people in Germany. mixing . very interesting. come from Togarmah. We have a number of Armenian people in our church. Turkistan. but for the . appear in those regions.Ashkenazi Jews. not all of these sons of Japheth have their lines listed. Now in verse 3. both ancient and modern. it's hard to be exact about this. but two of them do. These letters show up in Amaskava river. Tubal. Josephus says he was the father of the Pathologonians. and you probably have heard in your Armenian background. The root of the Meads. And then back to verse 2 again. the house of Targum. Then there is Riphath. cities. Madai. Togarmah we know about. Togarmah. which is probably an early name that ends up as Russia in later days. the name is preserved in a place called Lake Ashkenaz. Javan. The Indo part we wanna look at now. they went north and west. Togarmah. these are migrating people .but this is an important section. very hard to trace. let's go to the Indo part. which is a lot like Mishech and another people called Tubali. the fourth son of Japheth. Meschick. and Togarmah. Ezekiel 38 with the name Rosh. We'll cover the rest a little more rapidly. Megog. German Jews. very interesting. So that those of us who are Europeans may be close relatives to the Native Americans both in North America and South America. down into the South American continent . based on this scheme. Tarshish is a city. This terms comes from Yeban. the next most generic term for the Greeks. even those who come across Persia and India. look back in verse 4.ancient people of the east. in Europe. And then he had sons from which the Kateem and the Dodaneem came. And so we see these people in the south a little bit. and that fulfils the prophecy that Japheth would be enlarged. they were known by only one name: Yahban. Those of us who come from European stock most likely come from Japheth. one of the sons of Yeban. is a derivative. So you have in Yeban the Ionian. he writes. and in the east. Hellas Pont. and his people were the ones that moved to the east and one other name. everyone according to his language. Now again.where else would they come from. that's as far as we can go. is associated with Elishah. down into the North American continent. And it is believed that people migrating across Russia. though many would identify it with Tartasaus in Spain. Tiras. which is the most generic term for the Greeks. It's location is unknown. this appears to be people who settle both in the east and the west. were descendents of Japheth. according to their families into their nations. Madai specific injury the Meads. Our most inclusive term. So verse 5. "They were separated into their lands. the students of history will tell you that they occupy . they're all around that area. then you have Tarshish listed there as another son of Jevon. Hellenist. we talk about the Hellenists. Even those who come from Russia. Hellas. Let's go back to the east. Our forefathers in Europe. How sad. they had to all come from Noah's family . Any time we talk about the Greeks. and the other people moving toward the east. or Ionian. sons of Japheth very possibly.I should say we see Javan in the west with his people. obviously. Bottom line. Most associated Kateem with Cypress and Rodanim with Rhodes.and they became the Native Americans. are Japhethites. most of the world's population. is Hellas. you know it because Jonah tried to escape it when running away from God. from which we have the world Hellenist and Halanpoint. is included here. Hard to identify them. Now let me get down to where we are. I wanna pick up as much as I can. came all the way to the Bearing Straits. That's not the name of the son. but the people who came from the son. of Elishah. They found their way around the world. down into Alaska. Hellas. some say the Atruskans who are known in the Roman Empire and eventually move to the west and settle in Italy. with the exception of the word Greek. but they lost their souls in the process. with the exception of . and some of them drifted to the east. And God said they will be enlarged. in the west. They became the great colonizers of the world. and the Arvadite. and Sabtah.any time you see "im". So the Canaanites were people who descended from Canaan. in verse 7 . And those various tribes included the Jebucite.
