ERROR CODE An error code could appear in the face plate display if a problem occurs in the softener electronics. The HARDNESS and RECHARGE TIME never require resetting unless a change is desired. As water passes through and spins the turbine. a manually started regeneration (recharge) may be desired. You can start a regeneration right away. If the unit uses all the salt before you refill it. etc. water conditioner salt is recommended. Salt is loose on top. by hand only. high grade rock salts are acceptable. If the storage tank is full of salt. remove the nozzle and venturi. Without brine. pellet. a hard crust or salt bridge forms in the brine tank. ALWAYS refill if less than 1/2 full.
