Disassembly. lifting and fitting it slowly and simultaneously . Compressor Housing need to be recoated as corrosive may form on exposed surface . Somehow we managed to disassemble the whole Compressor Housing . So We had to repeat . We were required to use Jack Screw as the Rear Compressor Housing was very difficult to remove . Overall . We had a hard time of reassembling the compressor housing . . most of the compressor stator vanes had dent and blunted on the leading edge . We have encounter several problems on disassembling and putting it together into one piece. Trying it to fit it in using mallet was the wrong way as it would create further damage or initiate any crack to elongated . Inspection & Reassembling of Gas Turbine Engine JE-34WE-36 was successfully completed with the help of our lecturer. All of the fasteners need to be replaced . On routine inspection. Front Compressor Housing Fasteners Hole wont matched with Cooler Assembly . We found that the engine can only for practical or maintenance purposes as it is no longer serviceable for operation. Some of the fasteners thread were already worn . Dye Penetrant Inspection were skipped as unavailability of the material in the workshop.
