eISAR In-Service Activities Report Issue 2017-11 Forecasting a Greater Future Bombardier predicts African intra-regional connectivity will triple total traffic growth in the next 20 years 1|Page From the Editor The ISAR EST. 1989 The In-Service Activities Report (ISAR) is a monthly technical newsletter which provides a forum for sharing in- service experiences. The document includes discrepancies that have been experienced and reported by operators, and action taken on other noteworthy maintenance tips. Additionally, the ISAR provides routine notification of items of interest and significance that have occurred since issuance of the previous edition. It also provides updates regarding customer services and support initiatives within Bombardier. The ISAR is intended to be read by all in the operator’s organization who are concerned with maintenance support and operation of the aircraft. Important Note: Material appearing in this ISAR is to be considered valid as of the date of publication. The toque driver is then connected to the HSTA motor-brake input shaft (see Figure 3) and the mechanic proceeds to measure five (5) torque readings. These changes will have no impact on the operators that are using the original torque-meter GSE tool (P/N 261196049). An added benefit of this validation was that the AMM task could be performed from any one side of the aircraft (LH or RH). Conclusions and Way Forward The new torque-meter GSE (P/N 263141823) performed as expected. Technical Articles FIGURE 6: Specific Location for HSTA Motor-Brake & Torque Limiter Inputs Validation Test Results The validation testing was performed with the new torque-meter using the existing AMM Task # 27-42-03-720-801 (and Task Card # MTCM000-27-320-709-A01) on three (3) production aircraft from the CRJ production line. and captured some improvements which would help the mechanic to properly interpret the information of the AMM as well as reduce the overall time required to perform the task. providing the required functionality for operators to perform the HSTA torque limiter motor-brake and slip-clutch static torques verification. The AMM task # 27-42-03-720-801 and corresponding Task Card # MTCM000-27-320-709-A01 will be revised (Q1 of 2018) to provide operators the choice to perform the task from any aircraft side and bring some additional minor clarifications. The new torque- meter GSE was easy to use and performed as expected. Back to Table of Contents CRJ Series ISAR: 2017-11 9 . This is a benefit to operators since it will reduce the time required to perform the AMM task. It was compatible with the steps from the AMM Task. The GSE tool supplier states that the new torque-meter cost should be equivalent to that of the existing one and that operators should be able to procure it beginning April of 2018. and neither does the SB 670BA-32-058 dated September 26. disassembly. assembly.Installation of a New Orifice Support Tube. servicing and testing. in the Main Landing Gear Shock Strut Assembly.
