During the castellated beam production process, a solid steel beam forged from recycled steel is cut in half lengthways, using automated plasma torch cutting. The split halves are then offset and welded back together to create a beam that is the same weight, but is now deeper, stronger, and ideally suited for long span applications. Our highly efficient manufacturing facilities can produce 90-foot castellated beam sections. Customized beams are engineered to address unique project needs, including welded infill sections for special connection points.
