BAPPG r o u p o f C o m p a n i e s BAPP G r o u p o f C o m p a n i e s Pre-Load Bolt Assemblies BS EN 14399 Parts 1 to 8 CE Requirements BAPP G r o u p o f C o m p a n i e s This standard refers to assemblies that require a specifc tightening load and replaces previous standards BS 4395 Parts 1 & 2 and Din 6914. This standard must be adheard to on all manufactured product after October 2007. Any products produced previously to BS 4395 Parts 1 & 2 and Din 6914 can still be sold as pre-loadable bolts. These products manufactured to BS EN 14399 must comply with the construction directive 89/106/EEC which requires that all products are CE approved and marked. Bapp Group Limited have decided that the method of CE marking will be done by using a label clearly showing the ‘CE’ mark. Pre-Load Bolt Assemblies BS EN 14399 Parts 1 & 2 BS EN 14399 PART ONE General Requirements BS EN 14399 PART TWO Suitability test for preloading (assembly test)* BS EN 14399 PART THREE Hexagon Bolt and Nut Assemblies (HR 8.8 and 10.9) BS EN 14399 PART FOUR Hexagon Bolt and Nut Assemblies (HV 10.9) BS EN 14399 PART FIVE Plain Washers BS EN 14399 PART SIX Plain Chamfered Washers BS EN 14399 PART SEVEN Countersunk Bolts and Nuts Assemblies HR 8.8 and 10.9 BS EN 14399 PART EIGHT Hexagon Fit Bolts and Nuts HV 10.9 BS EN 14399 currently has 8 parts to the standard, this is now under review to add the following.
