IPMS Ipswich - November 2017 Competition ReportA good turn-out of members attended and as usual some very nice models there were too, over the two competitions, yes two competitions! Between them we had 14 models on the tables. With a bias to Aircraft this month, but also some unusual Figures to have a look at. So let’s see what was on the tables. First up are those models in the USAF 70th Competition. And so to a look at who is leading in the various classes after 11 months of competition in 2017. - Aircraft 1/50 - 1/144 = Martin Bishop adds to his points, he’s now got 98 points, Frank Bell in second also adds to his points now on 56 points, Simon Parker moves into third with 52 points. - Aircraft 1/49 - 1/10 = Aaron Scott moves up one place and into the lead with 91 points, pushing Simon Parker down into second on 57 points. Andy Chapman jumps into the third place with 46, pushing Ian Balch down to fourth (29 points). - Armour 1/50 – 1/144 = Still no entries here. - Armour 1/49 - 1/10 = No changes here this month so Martin Bishop still leads with 56 points, from Simon Parker in second on 23 points and Bob James in the third spot with 14 points. - Ships = Also no changes here again this month with Michael Carr on 14 points, closely followed by Chris Smithers with 13 points and Martin Bishop on 9 points. - Figures = Steve Turner extends his lead to 261 points (yes 261!) with Paul Casson in second with 108 points and Ian Succamore in third with 35 points. - Civilian Vehicles = No changes this month Simon Parker leads Steve Baldwin (41 points to Steve’s 18 points). - Sci Fi / Fantasy / Misc = The top three remain the same so, Mark Van Osdol leads with 15 points from Rod Jones on 11 points and Martin Bishop on 8 points.
