ICE CONFERENCE 2014Tuesday, Feb. 25 - Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 SURVIVAL GUIDE Whether you have attended the ICE Conference in the past or this is your first time, we want to be certain you will have a meaningful learning experience at this year’s event. ICE has grown to four full days of learning, with many session formats, special events and lots of different activities and opportunities for you to learn, network and grow professionally. This “Survival Guide” has important information to help you navigate these many opportunities. Your Name Badge / “Ticket” to the Conference: Your name badge is your “ticket” to be at the ICE Conference. Name badges were mailed in midFebruary to registrants who had paid their conference fees by Feb. 3. All registrants paying conference fees after Feb. 3 are to pick up their name badges upon arrival at the conference. (Note: A PO does not constitute payment. A check produced by the PO and mailed to the ICE office is payment.) If you are attending the Tuesday, Feb.25, or Wednesday, Feb. 26, pre-conference days and have your name badge in hand, go directly to your first scheduled session. (Workshop locations will be posted at www.iceberg.org.) If you are attending the conference on Thursday, Feb. 27 or Friday, Feb. 28, bring your badge to the Mega Center lobby where you will pick up a name badge holder and a conference tote bag containing the General Conference program book and other materials. Your name badge must be worn at all times during conference events. Program Book: In our effort to transition to a “paperless” conference, our Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 General Conference program book will be slimmer. The convenient tear-out At-a-Glance grid will be available, but the actual session listings including presenters and descriptions will be available in our Conference App or as a PDF that can be downloaded at http://www.iceberg.org/ice_conference/breakout and printed for those who wish to do so. Information on the exhibitors, including booth numbers, links to their websites, etc., is currently available on the Conference App. Exhibit Hall hours are: Wednesday, Feb. 26 3:00 PM – 6:00PM Thursday, Feb. 27 7:30 AM – 4:30PM Friday, Feb. 28 7:30 AM – 2:30PM When you look at your name badge, you will notice that a bar code is on the back of it. Some of the exhibitors will be using a lead retrieval system. If you agree to allow an exhibitor to scan your barcode, please be aware that you are providing that exhibitor your contact information, including name, address, school information, email address, and phone number. This system was put in place to make it easier for our attendees to establish contacts with exhibitors, but if you don’t want to share this information, the decision is in your hands...just don’t let exhibitors scan your name badge. Thursday/Friday General Conference Presenter Check-In: General Conference presenters (those providing Poster Sessions or 45-minute presentations) must check in at the “Presenter Check-In” desk in the Mega Center lobby between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM each day you are presenting.
