When you get hit in the head you don’t want the force to travel into your head. We designed our new cage to deflect direct impacts away from a catcher’s head. With a strong center bar on the cage and its wedge shape, balls deflect upon impact. With the goal of lessening the force to the head, we updated the mounting system of the cage. Without using any moving parts, which are prone to malfunction, we have mounted the cage in a unique way where the cage is not attached to the forehead. Instead, it is mounted down by the jaw and ears. When a ball impacts the cage the shockwave disperses to the mounting points and not directly to the forehead. Weight has been reduced compared to the CP28PRO by reworking the padding system with multi-level foam construction. numerous thin layers of foam were handpicked and layered for specific qualities, such as breathability, flexibility, and dampening. We strategically placed lightweight plastic plates around the collar bone, throat, and sternum areas so that the chest protector will take the brunt of the impact, not you. SySteMSeven™ leg gUard deSign FeatUreS Advanced Plate Design The System Seven™ LG30PRO plate design revolved around a few concepts: keeping it light and strong yet flexible, and well ventilated. Throughout the plates, we took note of the areas which take the most abuse, such as the knees, and made the plastic thicker to withstand more abuse. The shape of the knee plate has been designed for stable motion. Catchers need a stable base for blocking balls and also need maneuverability while on the knees. There are also no ventilation ports on the knee because they will fill up with dirt. The shin plates have 10 ventilation ports and have been designed to be customizable. The plastic is moldable, meaning that if you like wearing them snug, you can squeeze the walls and bring them in. If you like them loose and more breathable, flex the shin plate outward. Between the Bars On the CP30PRO, the true beauty lies between the bars. Six pads have been wedged, and as a result balls blocked kick downward. This feature transforms the chest protector into a vital tool used to make uncontrollable balls a thing of the past. Compared to the CP28PRO, ball rebound has been cut in half. The ball will literally drop down right before you. no need to chase it... you’re welcome. Updated Padding Patella Plus Gel™ Technology has been incorporated into the knee pads. This gel has an extended life compared to the original Patella Plus™ pad and also provides more cushion and support. Padding which cradles the knee is critical. Gel padding has been added throughout the knee to limit bruising on the inside of catcher’s knees. A removable and machine washable strip of UltraCool™ lined padding has been placed in the shin as well. Specific to the left and right shins, the padding not only increases the protection level, but also lets the catcher customize his leg guard’s fit. The padding is repositionable meaning that the catcher can move the contoured padding for a unique, dialed-in fit. The U-Bars Delta Flex™ The side “U-Bars” help the chest protector conform to a player’s body while at the same time square up the front to present a flat surface for controlling blocked balls. Some catcher’s are known to use the “U-Bars” for their signaling, and pitchers love the solid target. Compared to past models, the wrap around sides are thinner… because if you get hit there you are doing something wrong. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Our Delta Flex™ harness technology has been a huge hit and as a result, we have incorporated it into the new CP30PRO. The harness is constructed with wider straps which won’t dig in and also features a neoprene ‘triangle’ which keeps the chest protector right where it’s supposed to be. Strap lengths are 100% adjustable from 4 points, allowing the fit to be completely customized.
